Our Story

A Family-Run Business

We are a family-run business, established more than 25 years ago, now based at Bridgers Barn, Bishop's Stortford. This is where Nicholas Bridger, the Managing Director, converted his barn into a fabulous new showroom, which opened its doors in 2017.

Our clients are often engaged directly with Nicholas, his daughter Billie, his daughter-in-law Paige and his son Louis, who control both the design and installation operations, enabling the business to leverage both Nicholas's decades of experience in design & build projects and property development, alongside his holistic oversight, to work in partnership with the team to ensure seamless delivery of your project.

Our Cabinet Makers

We are extremely proud of our entire team, including those behind the scenes, such as those at our cabinet manufacturing operation based in Essex. Our team has a wealth of more than 40 years of cabinet making expertise and the hugely skilled and talented team are understandably valued by all here at The Handmade Kitchen Co.

We frequently undertake prototype cabinetry which often requires each respective team member to work closely with our cabinetmakers, in order to develop beautiful, yet functional and effective bespoke furniture to both delight and amaze our clients.

Installation

Our installation team is headed up by Louis. With over two decades of experience with handmade kitchens, he will guide you through the installation process every step of the way to completion.

Where We Work

Handmade Kitchen Co predominantly covers Hertfordshire, Essex, London and the Home Counties, although we have delivered many projects in additional locations such as Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire, so why not get in touch to see if we can help?
